Dec 7, 2022 - Our last Anniversay together

So we got out after waiting for her stomach pains to ease up. She was determined to get her a Post Office Pie, which is her favorite pizza place, and then we stopped for some Krispy Kreme donuts.  Since we were in the area, we went by our first house in Roebuck and it looks so good still. It's really being taken care of. You can't see it from this picture but to the far right is the driveway and we never parked in the garage. Every time, and I mean every time we would pull up to the house, we would race up the hill to the front door. This would involve tackling, pushing each other into the bushes, or into the wall going up the steps. This was happening rain or shine.  It was a pride thing. It's probably what made her so tough! We lived there for about 10 years before moving to Pinson. 10 years of epic racing to the front door. We used to say the neighbors just waited by the window hoping to see us pull up. That slowed down after she was pregnant with Abby.  Anyway, we didn't make it to Pinson because she was getting worn out so we decided to head back home. But after we got to Pell City, she had some money still on her Starbucks app so she got her favorite drink, the iced caramel macchiato!  It's been a good day!

We got home and she said "let's watch a Christmas movie" so I found one on Netflix and about 10 minutes in she said, "I don't want to disappoint you but that girl is going to fall for that other guy and dump the first one but the dad will not approve and like the first guy instead." 5 minutes later she was sound asleep. She's my best friend!

And thank you Teresa Moore Evans and the secret others for covering the anniversary expenses today. It was great!
